Baer is looking for AI Engineer for a 3+ month remote project
Title: AI Engineer
Location: Remote (on-site requirement 1st week, then 100% remote)
Duration: 3 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or Individual C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)
Description:
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities within insurance and risk domains.
- Lead AI experimentation from proof-of-concept to production, ensuring delivery of measurable business value.
- Design and develop scalable AI solutions leveraging Vertex AI, LangChain, Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), and Python microservices.
- Serve as the onshore technical lead, coordinating effectively with offshore engineering teams.
- Implement and optimize Generative AI (GenAI) pipelines, including prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent workflows.
Requirements:
- 3 years in AI/ML development, including at least 1 year in Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Generative AI and Google Cloud technologies
- Python, LangChain, Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)
- Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, BigQuery, GCS, Pub/Sub, and IAM
- Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and compliance considerations in regulated industries such as insurance and financial services.
- Strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder communication, and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
