Baer is looking for Senior Java NLP Developer for a 12 month Federal Remote Project.
Title: Senior Java NLP Developer
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)

Description:
- Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements using Java suite, cTAKES, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
- Responsible for developing and/or engineering the end-to-end features of a system, from user experience to backend code.
- Use development skills to deliver innovative solutions that help our clients improve the services they provide.
- Must be able to leverage machine learning and natural language processing to review client data and deploy optimal automated tasks to advance client’s processes.
- Leverage new technologies that can be applied to solve challenging business problems with a cloud first and agile mindset.
- Identify and analyze user requirements to generate stories and tasks for team backlog
- Prioritize and execute tasks in development cycle
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with Java
- 3 years of experience using Agile development methodologies and Natural Language Processing tools.
- Master’s degree in related field +10 years of experience; or PhD + 4 years
- Experience with Machine Learning, Language Modeling and Python is a plus.
- Java and Python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap
- Knowledge working with AWS or cloud development environments
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Cloud
- Experience with Restful Services, API's, and Microservices Architecture
- Experience with Swagger or OpenAPI
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience with integrating to COTS and SaaS applications
- Knowledge about Agile development Methodologies.
- Experience with Docker, AWS Lambda, and AWS ECS
- Experience with Python
- Preference to developer with experience working with healthcare data and Health IT
